Gail was born and raised in Rotorua, and after earning her degree in Social Science at Waikato University, went on to complete a diploma in Display and Advertising. This rekindled her passion for creativity and design, and a desire to pursue a career in the field.

With over thirty years of graphic design and print experience, Gail has worked for advertising agencies and design studios in Auckland, Melbourne, London, and Wellington. She began freelancing in 2000, working for agencies and building her own client base. After moving to Kapiti and wanting to Gail created Mixed Media Design to meet the creative needs of businesses all over New Zealand.
